Good morning!
Woke up to that asshoe again with a leaf blower who likes to go full throttle without a break. What should I go throw at him?

Still just the one. How do I know when to pluck it?

I wait until they give a little when squeezed or just starting to turn yellow. But most of mine seem ready right now.
I pick the Myer Lemons from November through February.

Hmmm… I think it’s ready but husband is hesitant to harvest too early. Will we get more than one in year 2?
ETA And will we ever get anything from the lemon tree? Bust in year 1.

Pick one tomorrow for vodka and tonics and see.
The lemon tree should bud this spring but you’ll need to get some citrus fertilizer and use and when directed.
They tend to have a bad year followed by a good year.

Can you Texas folks help me with something? This southern route looks like a good way to avoid traffic Monday morning but it has tolls. Are they tolls you pull up to to pay or do I have to buy a special pass?

Download the EZpass app. You put your license plate # and some $$ and you are good to go. Then when you go back to Houston add a few more $$ for next time. Works great. We have had it for years.

don't need to do that. Just roll through the ezpass lane and they will mail you the toll. It's not expensive either.
