Our WOTD is 'fortuitous'. It is an adjective meaning 'happening by accident or chance rather than by design'. ex. It was fortuitous that his golf ball bounced off of the tree into the creek.

It does NOT mean lucky or fortunate which is how it is most often used....by those who should know better.
