Do they change their last names?

Another interesting one. So many questions to think about....

Who asks who to marry
What last name do you take
Who pays for what part of wedding

What happens when the churches still won't allow the marriage to take place. Lawsuit after lawsuit, Apparently there is no such thing as separation of church and state

I personally don't care who gets married to whom. Hell, JC preached love and tolerance but I think it will cost tax payer money in lawsuits and a huge uproar in the churches. Welcome to the modern day Crusades

The older, established churches will stand their ground.

But I can see how the seperation will be under incredible pressure.

I take this move as a push for freedom which I accept and appreciate. Forcing churches to marry is taking away a freedom that I will not accept.

I agree hyphens will become even bigger. I hate hyphen last names but I guess it's just gonna be a part of it.

I didn't think of the military consequences... Certainly can't stick with current rules...

who cares?

whomever wants to ask can ask-- or you can communicate and talk about it. whatever.

a few friends have hyphenated names -- some take the other's last name - if one has sisters and their surname name won't live on, the spouse will take that last name etc...

wedding is split usually 50/50 -- or however much each can afford - depending on how big/ little they want it.

communication, all that is needed.
