You keep an odder sleep/wake cycle than I do. What's your schedule like today?

Had to work the night shift. 6 pm to 7 am.

No sleep.

I've spent four and a half of the last ten years standing watch, and I wouldn't wish mids (night watch) on my worst enemy. For the record, your circadian rhythm is now fricked for life.

You young Docs have it the worst. Is there some practical end to all that, or is it just some crucible?

It's three years of shite. Thankfully only 3 years. I do get to enjoy the wonder of 30 hour call 2nd year.

It is easier than it used to be. They added regs for interns after they determined that we were killing people.

Doing the good work.
Not long now until you have a little more control over your schedule (or at least a 6-figure bonus or two to get/maintain your services that helps balance the money:stress equation).

Well I know my Dad (23yrs USN CDR Ret) enjoyed the hell out of the game yesterday, despite the score being closer than normal over the past decade.

G'morning Nurse.
