6.2L v8 in the Denali for starters. Plenty more. Go look at their websites to get educated.
In addition to the excellent 6.2L V8, the Denali also has magnetic ride control, which is actually an excellent feature.
I think the Tahoe and Suburban both have an off road version that GMC does not have though, with a different front end (w/ better approach angles), Duratrack tires, skidplates, locking diffs, and hill descent control.
GMC Yukon and Yukon XL are being positioned as a luxury road truck with a lot more tech focused on ride and handling, such as the magnetic shocks and automatic four wheel drive.
The Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban have some pretty solid off road hardware that GMC doesn't have. It's also more difficult to find one with a 6.2L V8 for some reason. Denali has it standard.

I love that you posted this again after editing it out. I thought you realized you were wrong. Guess not.

The Z71
ETA I believe the magnetic ride control is standard on the Denali, but optional in the Tahoe.

Correct. A loaded 6.2L V8 Suburban 4x4 can also reach an MSRP of $80K, which is about what a Yukon Denali can get to. They call it the Premier. Looks like this:
On the new pickup truck side, it's a little more clear. The High Country is the Silverado version of the Denali, but it doesn't include magnetic ride control at all. Both have versions with the off road hardware (locking diff, increased approach, hill descent control, skid plates, etc).
For full sized SUVs, that off road hardware is only available on the Chevrolets from the factory with the Z71 package:
Chevrolet has the fleet-only Suburban 3500, which is a 1 ton SUV geared towards agricultural use, fire/rescue, and up-armored applications:
Unlike Chevrolet, GMC's SUVs are half ton only.

How does it stack up size wise next to a ‘99?
Much bulkier appearance, which seems to be the rage for half tons these days. Supposedly they have made changes to the bed construction techniques which increase interior volume.
So gmc has a version of the avalanche now? That's dumb...if you want a truck, buy a truck. If you want a suv, buy a suv. If you want to be a deuche, buy an avalanche.

My mom (no pics) has a Yukon Denali. My wife (also no pics) would 10000% be driving one too if we could afford it.

This generation of Yukon Denali looks amazing.
In 2020, they get an independent rear suspension. Hopefully that doesn't ruin them.

The Avalanche hasn't been manufactured in 4-5 years.

As opposed to Chevrolet marketing their brand as an inbred red neck brand.
They're basically the same thing.

I wanted this engine in my truck but I couldn’t find it In anything less than the High Country which I didn’t want to pay for. So i didn’t get a GM truck.
My dad just bought a 2018 Silverado with the 5.3 and it’s fine but not exciting.

Denalis only come with the 6.2 in the SUV.

It’s an amazing engine, but they limit availability for some reason.

Avalanches are hella convenient. I would buy one if they still made them.

The 6.2 was available in the previous body’s silverados right? They were the ones where the doors would have the VortecMAX logo rather than Silverado spelled out.

That was the old iron block 6.0, which is functionally bulletproof but not as powerful as the 6.2L.
The 6.2L is not branded as a Vortec engine.
They still put the 6.0L engine in the 3/4 and 1 ton trucks as well as some medium duty Low Cab Forward trucks. It’s proven to be extremely reliable but not very fuel efficient. It’s an older design that has been around since the late 1990s. I think it’s the small block counterpart to the 366 ci medium duty truck and bus engine from the 1990s.

While no 6.2, the 5.3 with the 8 speed and 3.42 rear end isn’t a slouch.

They think the new 2.7L turbo I-4 in the new Silverado is even faster than the 5.3L V8.

I wish I could buy the equivalent if a 1998 Z71 but brand new. But nothing newer in tech than 1999 other than safety.
This. Especially if you don't NEED a truck as a daily driver, which 90% don't. I have a 1994 with 100K original miles and can rebuild the entire truck with RockAuto.com and an LMC truck catalog. Not practical for every day, but when I need a truck, its there. Iron block, no check engine light every time a big hits the windshield and no TPMS sensors to go out!!

Are they gonna fix the shudder at highway cruising speeds???? Denali XL’s are POS

I am wary of the turbo until its reliability is proven.
