I had dogs all my life. I did do the bone and left over meals when I was a child, hell we could barely afford to feed ourselves.

But I stopped that along time ago, when I could afford dog food

I’ve never heard of a pit bull dying from eating bones. Maybe it’s breed related?

No, stay away from cooked bones.

If anything, give it to him raw.

But I prefer bully sticks, beef tracheas and beef lung for my dog.
