When you see these little cherubs and their doting mothers, spend a few bucks and pay for a box (or more) for the U.S. troops stationed far away overseas. It's a great program that means a lot to someone who's on tour away from home serving our country.

That is all.

OP isn't about you and your OT poor shopping center. It was about contributing to a very worthwhile program that is a nice tribute to the people busting their arse for your freedom to purchase crappy cookies.

But you have to go into a trashy store for poors to get them. I'd rather pay full price.

I joined the Boy Scouts after hearing some boys were being touched on camping trips, but unfortunately that never happened to me.

It's a good way to teach entrepreneurship too.

Girl Scout sells 300 boxes of cookies in front of Pot store.

Clever idea.

I meant as in my daughter’s participation was basically limited to being a Girl Scout and selling a couple boxes

I buy direct from the factories. I skip out the middle man and get better rates. Cookies are usually fresher too.

Many years ago, I was the 'cookie dad. I taught the girls to take an order, then, after receiving the order, look at the buyer and say, "Oh, and we're also taking orders for cookies to send to the troops overseas." This tactic of double-dipping sold an additional 6000+ boxes as some people would buy as many as 100 boxes each for the troops, many only buying one or two for themselves. I also got parents involved and we solicited corporate purchases from their public relations management. We had total purchases of over 20,000 boxes from companies like Dell, JC Penney, Budweiser, Bell Helicopter, Perot Systems, American Airlines, and others.

That year, there was a troop in San Diego that did the same thing and sold over 65,000 boxes for the military overseas, but San Diego is a big military town, so it made it easier.
