Going all the way up on their porch is more than a little sketchy. I thought that maybe it was in a city, and they were up on his stoop or something. That would have been understandable if the guy's porch was up on the street.

But this looked like it was in some suburb, and they walked like 20 feet up from the street to this dude's door. I would have felt a little threatened if I looked out my front window and saw some teenagers who I didn't know were hanging out on my porch.

Eta: the cop was probably a lot more aggressive than he needed to be though.

I feel we humor his youthful indignation a little too much

Did yall read the police report? Guy found a back pack with a BB gun in it in his backyard and then two strangers lurking in his front yard/porch. If I were a trained professional, then I would try to safely detain them if i could until police arrived. If not I would secure my home until police arrived. This is a non-story to me other than a PSA for what happens when you trespass into someone's property with a weapon in your possession and evidence of violence all over you (blood). The cop obviously said some really bad things in what I would confidently assume was extreme anger. But that is it.

tl;dr: PSA: Don't wander onto a stranger's property with back packs containing BB guns and blood all over you. Also, if 30 kids are hanging out watching a fight, then remove yourself from the situation.
