His slide guitar work is really good. My fave is the solo on Lennon's Gimme Some Truth. And he didn't even do slide til after Beatles broke up

No really an elite guitar player but his slide work on John Lennon’s “How Do You Sleep” and Alvin Lee’s “Bluest Blues” is pretty sweet.

This can't be overstated. He has some good songs but man it seems there are so many people that think he was the best and most talented in the group and that's just nonsense IMO.
Guitar would be his magnum opus Beatle work had it been him on guitar instead of Clapton.
