Generator not starting - update

I tested it on Sunday and it worked with no problems. Started right up on the first try.
Power went out this evening and I started it. Again, first try no issues at all.
Power came back on but went off again. Went to start it and nothing. Electric start won’t work nor will the pull start. It’s brand new non-ethanol gas, the carburetor is clean, and I have brand new oil. What can my problem be?
This is a Generac 10,000/8,000 purchased in 2021.
Edit: KingRanch nailed it. I was getting soaked in the middle of the winds and I was stressed. I wasn’t thinking that the electric start IS the on switch and I had it off while trying to use the pull start. I’m up and running now. Apparently just needed time to relax and think first. Thanks guys

Do you have the switch on? In high pressure situations people tend to forget the obvious

It needs a spark, gas, and oxygen; make sure you have all three.

What switch, the breaker? No I never turn that on before starting. I don’t have a switch as in on/off.

I thought you worked for the NOLA S&WB?

Fire, fuel and air. Which one of those 3 is it not getting? I would start with troubleshooting the fire.
ETA - There is probably a safety device cutting off your spark.

It may have a "low oil" cut off switch. Check your oil level.

The “on” switch in the generator. It’s got one. My kid’s go kart has one. So does my weed eater and every other small engine I have.

How long did it run when the power went out the first time today?

I promise you it doesn’t.
There’s the choke, the fuel switch, and the electric start. Then the breaker. That’s it.

did you by any chance turn the fuel off and let the engine run out and maybe not turn it back on?...

Are you choking it?

1. Check to see if the power switch is still in the off position from when you killed it.
2. Is it choked? If not choke it and let some gas get out if it. Cycle it through on choke.
3. Check the oil level.
4. Open the gas cap and put it back on and smell the gas to make sure it’s not gone bad.
5. Is it still plugged up ( loaded up). ?
Unplug everything.

This may be a dumb question but does it have a choke?

It might be flooded.

Is this the unit?

Are you sure there is a carburetor? A lot of generacs have EFI and need the battery to run the fuel injection. A dead bettery and you won’t get any fuel.
