I've face timed with some of my family (really only halfway across the world) and SO, but if any of my friends tried that shite with me, I'd think they lost their fricking minds.

I got a Facetime call once from a friend and just ignored it because I assumed it was a mistake. Sure enough, a few seconds later I got a text apology.

Facetiming is for grandparents to see grandkids and for millennials. Other than that it's trashy.

I had to Facetime with my parents over the weekend - they'd taken my kids on a weekend trip and couldn't figure out how to set up the pack n play. They sucked at describing the problem so I told them to Facetime me so I could just see for myself. It didn't help much, I kept seeing the side of my dad's face.

FT definitely has its uses. Mostly involves kids and parents. Either way, it's not an efficient method of communication.

I was in sales training a few I the back, and this bitch around my age we had to share a car with. Every morning from the hotel all the way to the office, she facetimed her entirely obnoxious kids. They were 4 and 2 and were the most obnoxious screaming brats I've ever heard. "Mommy come home! Mommy we miss you! Mommy why aren't you here?! Mommy! Mommy! Mommy!"

It was unbearable. Especially due to how great my sales training class before that was, where a guy who was a former stand up comedian was a part of my car and in my sales training class. Everyone in the car was males in their mid 20s-early 30s. Non-stop political incorrectness the entire way to the office. Much different than babies screaming the whole time.

Karma paid you back, son. You should be balanced once again though.

This generation should be called
Generation Everyone's parents were so addicted to pills it messed their kids up to the point they think they need to be whichever gender they choose to be.

Dont know how you'd abbreviate it.

Did you become disenfranchised with rock music with the emergence of grunge, or did you embrace grunge?
I loved the grunge. It gets hated on a lot now, but it was part of my idiot youth, so I remember it fondly.

The overall music scene of the times is underrated, but we are definitely to blame for destroying the music industry with file sharing.

For those who give a shite, here's the guide:

The Boomer designation is too wide. You could have an older boomer being the parent of a younger boomer. That makes no sense. I would say the divide between Boomers and Gen X should start around 1960. Anyone born in the sixties and graduating high school in the late seventies-early eighties is going to have similar experiences.

Millennials aren't having children as early as Gen X and Boomers
Thank god. Maybe their ignorance will die with them.

If you're a millennial, this is definitely the case.

Have you been triggered or something? Do you need a safe space? Go rock in a corner & suck your thumb until the mean Gex Xs stop laughing at a reminiscent and humorous article and making fun of your generation. That's not whining and your asshurt is just further proof of your need to make everything about you.

If you got second place when I was growing up you were just at the top of the list with the rest of the losers. Pretty much ignored.
Gen X'ers coined the phrase, "2nd place is the first loser."

Can you imagine that being said to today's special snowflakes?

Constantly angry and resentful of that. I can see how that is frustrating.

No, he's most likely disappointed because you're a soft little twat. If anything, he resents your parents for coddling your soft arse.

I have always believed there needs to be some kind of success threshold to use this tone...

I doubt you would make the cut.
