Geezus. Will this end already?

That WLBT live feed doesn't work at all on my shitty-arse Hughes Net, so I appreciate all the radar pics and information posted here.

You are the best.

Red/green layer is base velocity. Red touching green means rotation, the brighter the colors, the stronger the wind. When they wrap around each other, that means tornado.
Thanks for this explanation

Ole boy on WAPT sounds like he got ready for the storm with a stiff drink or two, but they seem to have the best radar tech.

The cell headed toward Jackson is looking a bit weaker, but you never know with these things.

If that miss Jackson to the North then either of the trailing cells could be an issue.

The environment across MS, AL & now west GA is just off the charts.

Looks like your daughter will be safe in Ridgeland. Literally one tornado on the ground passing by 5 miles north, about to cross the highway between Ridgeland and Canton. The other tornado is south of her, it will pass south of Jackson and hit between Jackson and Byram.

making me a little nervous, man...Madison and Gluckstadt are both in that area...

Four confirmed tornados on the ground in different parts of North Alabama. Some places are getting hit twice.

One town getting hit got demolished on 4/27/11.

Three confirmed fatalities so far.

The Utica / South Jackson feature is headed to the area where all of the TV towers are located. Reminds me of Candlestick in 1964-ish, which knocked down WLBT's 2000' stick.

Im on radarscope. LARGE TORNADO headed towards Columbus, Mississippi including Columbus AFB. I am able to see debris on radar about 1/2 to 3/4 mile wide.

Geauxmedic, use Correlation Coefficient layer 1 and look at the storm SW of Columbus, MS!
