The 6-foot-6, 195-pounder averaged career-highs of 7.3 points and 2.7 rebounds last season with the Wizards. He agreed to a three-year, $24 million contract with the Kings earlier this month.

Are these kind of stats really worth $24 million fricking dollars???

This is a big part of what's wrong in this country.

8 million dollars a year to score 7 points? And cops are out putting their lives on the line everyday for peanuts compared to this.

LSU player on the final four team. A lot of fans loved him for the legendary defense he played on JJ Reddick.

Exactly it does matter bc he's big in the African American community in Baton Rouge so is his family and he's spewing garbage that incites people not unites them like saying his poll thinks the cops were wrong. I'd love to see what mr temple would do to alleviate a problem with a big angry man with a gun resisting him

And this is how the false narrative gets created. No reading comprehension but you run here and start a thread.

You'd rather the team owners keep more and more of the billions the sport generates? Would that make you feel better about the country?

Or are you just anti-capitalism?

The teams are making so much money now with the new TV deals that they can't spend it fast enough. You have a bunch of yahoos making more than Curry.

you act like you have an open mind about things but keep spewing the same tired nonsense

Nothing wrong with what Temple said. His family cares about the Baton Rouge community and done more for it than the vast majority of people here.

quote:

“Killing cops is no answer at all

quote:

“I got to go back to Baton Rouge,” Temple said. “I can’t run from it. You got to do whatever you can to help solve the problem. People who have voices have to do what they can to help their city.”

quote:

He agreed to a three-year, $24 million contract with the Kings earlier this month.

man, NBA contract were insane this summer.

You sound extremely salty/pathetic for bringing this mans sports career into the conversation about an article he posted. Go sit at the kids table if you are going to act this pathetic.

Considering how far down basketball is on the list for some fans, it's not too surprising.

Ok, so this is Collis Temple, III's son. Old man Temple was a arrogant and racist jerk when I was in college and working at the U club.
