I mean if bars are getting sued successfully for drunk driving and held legally responsible for those consequences, id say this case (if as drunk as he sounds) is open and shut because getting that much in markers you'd have to see how drunk he was.

Louisiana has reverse dram law statutes - we protect the bartender no matter what.

quote:

Once the casino starts issuing you markers, or loaning you money that they keep track of, they enter a much higher level of responsibility that the casino has to legally demonstrate.

I do agree with that. Unless this guy hides his drunkenness very well - which I can do most of the time.

Although I was once prevented from playing craps because I was drunk. I thought I was clever and left the casino's 3rd floor and attempted to get back on the boat on the 2nd floor. Apparently this was a security breach they were well prepared for - they laughed when I tried to get back on the boat.

I got blackout drunk and ordered a $5k tv about 10 years ago and managed to pay an extra 150 to get it overnight Saturday delivery. Imagine my surprise when FedEX knocked on my door at about 9 am and I was ridiculously hung over.

As for this dumb frick, shite happens. Suck it up and move on with your life. If he had won, would he have given the money back because he was too drunk to make good decisions? Hell no he wouldn't so it should go the other way too.
