Ordered a living room set beginning of May and was initally told 10-12 weeks to delivery. Was then told October 6th was the day....now was told to add another 6 weeks to projected day of 11/20 to just get the materials! Is it just foam due to a lack of petro-product production??

We ordered a couch in March and we’re told 28 weeks from the start. Unless you get something on the showroom floor, most furniture manufacturers are standard 24-28 weeks now

Bought a new electric reclining sofa last year and waited a couple months for it.
Stopped working less than 6 months later. Repair guy ordered a part to fix it - still waiting for that part...since May.

We deserve this for our reliance on cheap piece of shite goods from China and other East Asian shitholes.

Labor shortage most likely. A lot of the upholstered furniture is made in the Tupelo, MS area. Just about every furniture plant in the area is running TV ads trying to get employees. $17-25 an hour with sign on bonuses and the tv ads have been running for months.

The foam is probably the only component in a couch or recliner made in the US

Yes, perhaps there are some items made in the Far East that they're waiting on. Believe the leather is from Italy though.
