If he's paying rent than he should be able to do whatever he pleases. Even if that means taking a dump on your bed.

Would we still be considered equals if I am the owner of the house and he doesn't actually pay for half of the total bills?

I am not sure how much he is paying or any of that, but if he is paying to live there, I can assure you he feels like you are equals in the deal...

fwiw, the shite you are dealing with is exactly why I have chosen to live by myself for the last decade...

This is why you don't room with friends and you create a solid set of roomie rules.

Yeah I hear you. Wish I would have known this could happen before I let him move in. I felt like I had established I solid set of rules but for some reason started to let stuff slide eventually leading me to the point I'm at now.

The fact that you have to ask the OT for advice shows how much your friends really don't care too much about you. Sorry bro.

not only can it happen, but it is inevitable and happens every single time...

FWIW, the same thing happens between you and your wife when you get married...just gotta figure out how to compromise and deal with it..

Kick him the frick out, roomed with too many "friends" and in retrospect I learned a lot/ regret it.

Be honest , yo we tight but living with you sucks, you have two weeks. If you need anything I'll be on porn hub and then worldstar, you know the drill, knock or call my cell before you come in

If one persons name is on the deed, and the others isn't, they are nowhere near equal.
