Short version: They rescued 2 cubs a few days before. She was frantically searching for them. The villagers called the tiger cops. Their intent was to tranq her and either relocate or reunited with the cubs. After the attack, one of the elephants held the tiger down for a bit, but she got away. The mahmout, Satya Pegu suffered injuries, mainly to one hand, but otherwise was okay.
