Wouldn't be shocked if it becomes a thing at theatres in the future with the recent happenings of these shootings. Even so, a shooter won't go through a metal detector. He'll shooter the people running it so it's basically moot.

They'll just the people packed together waiting in line for the metal detector.

Well this dude sat in the theater for 20 minutes. Until shite like Minority Report comes to fruition and stops the madness, more 'extra duty' officers in place and more metal detectors could stop a few of them crazy fricks.

All you'd have to do is place the weapon outside one of the other exits (the ones farther back in the theater), go through the front door, go to your exit door, open it and grab the weapon.

It's absolutely moot. Installing metal detectors isn't going to stop crazy. Otherwise I think we'd see them more often at places like stadiums and arenas.

My favorite part. At least he was courteous enough to wait for them to end.

Pretty much why I support people with CCL into public places. There may be a handful of insane people with guns, but I'd like to have some sane people with them as well.

Have you seen some of the shite where scenarios were done to see if people could get weapons through airport security? I think I heard something recently that around 80% were successful in getting something past security... and think about how many personnel, metal detectors, etc they have at airports.

It's the old "should I get an alarm system on my house if it takes cops 10 minutes to get here" dilemma?

Can a crazy fricker still pull off a mass shooting? Sure, but it makes THAT particular theater less attractive as a target. He may opt for a supermarket, a crowded tailgating area. Nothing is perfect until Minority Report technology arrives.

Well I am glad Blue Bayou has them. Maybe it's a 'feel good' measure. But it does fricking work. That thing catches errrrything in your pockets, sunglasses, etc.

That's because you're not trying to get away with anything. I have no doubt that I could sneak a weapon past Blue Bayou's crack security team without issue.

You won't get a metal gun or bullets through those detectors.
My pernt was it makes the place less attractive as a target. Hell I could get a gun in there. They don't put bags through them. You hand the bag to teen screener #3. He/She asks YOU to move towels out the way to look into bag. A large caliber handgun nicely tucked in a towel could go undetected if you move the towel carefully and lay it back down.

Who said anything about going through the detectors with it? You really think it would be that difficult to toss something over a fence, go inside, and retrieve it?

There's a way. All you have to do is scout out a place for a couple of days, hell hours probably, and figure out where the hole in the security is. It sucks that it's probably not that difficult at most places.
