Yet theyve had plans to make a new cancer facility while wanting to take total control of this one? Sounds greedy

if you read the Lakes response, the plan over the last year was to expand in collaboration with MBP. It wasn't until MBP chose another path that the lake announced to go it alone.

MBPCC is one of many cancer centers that recently severed ties with its network because they were recruited to join OneOncology. OLOL saw that happening and very clearly tried to stop that (which is strategically the right move) and now are developing a new cancer center, which is again the right move given the circumstances.

My local oncologist is a senior partner in LA Hematology and Oncology. OneOncology will give them access to more trials and medications, a win for the area, as lots of LA patients go to MD Anderson because the resources here are limited. I was one of them.

He said the most annoying thing in this is that they were asking OLOL for upgrades and more resources for years, but they never had the money. Now once ties are cut they all the sudden have $100 million to pump into a competing cancer center? GTFO

OneOncology will also give $$$ to the senior MBP partners shares when they retire soon

It's not a 100% virtuous move

Private practices sell out to big hospitals and private equity for big money - this is the way

Any time someone switches companies, it is rarely for a reduction in money or net zero.

However, I've had talks with the Mary Bird CEO as he came up in administration at MD Anderson and he wants Mary Bird to be able to offer more than what it can do currently. Having been a patient at MD Anderson, Louisiana is woefully behind in comprehensive cancer care for the amount of cancer the populace endures.

One Oncology is also associated with Labcorp. Walmart style medicine for sure.

Nail on the head.
The place is a progressive slush fund nightmare, and a disgrace to any other facility that calls itself a hospital.

Should have stopped right there.

The thing I hate about OLOL is that they added another light to Essen, and it has zero relation to the lights around it.

Take a look at MBP history, they have been booted from some other hospital systems around the state as well due to them being very difficult to work with.

False.
