3 year old daughter comes home with some results saying she needs to go to an eye dr since she failed the vision screen. No explanation of the results no range of where she should be just a paper with pupil distance and gaze asymmetry.

Anybody know how to interpret this shite?

Take care of your daughter and get it checked out.

Someone put this on my FB page - since I am color blind, I can't read what it said. Someone had to clue me in.

Agree with the others. Just go get her checked by a doctor. The same thing happened with my five year old last week. We've made an appointment for him later this week.

We already made an appointment but earliest available is a few weeks away so just trying to ease some concerns

A preschool gave your toddler a vision screening? Wow. They’re in for a surprise when they run the hernia check.

A very basic eye screening can tell if someone’s eye is not refracting light properly. She needs to have a full eye exam to determine what exactly is going on.

I hope you chose an Ophthalmologist and not an Optometrist.

We received the same sort of notice with my son. He was in the early stages of developing a lazy eye. Went to the eye doc who made him wear a patch over his good eye for a few hours every day in order to strengthen the muscles around his other eye. He also had to wear glasses. Fortunately the patch seemed to work according to the doc but he still wears glasses. Very thankful for the eye screen which occurred in kindergarten for him.

My son's kindergarten teacher told us our son may be color blind. Had him tested at the doctor and sure enough he was. Good teacher. She noticed he couldn't see certain colors. That was 20 years ago.
