Just change the ers to an a and you will stop itching. They don’t like to be called chigger.

That's kind of harsh for a man itching to death

He said the “C word.” That’s racist as frick. He’s a white cis-gender oppressor in a patriarchal society. They prefer to be called “red bugs.”

Watch for swelling in your groin area. Unfortunately, chiggers like to bite in the groin area because the skin is easier to bite. In some cases, this can cause “summer penile syndrome,” which results in itching, swelling, and trouble peeing.

White vinegar.

When I was a small youngun growing up in central Louzana my mom would soak a rag with turpentine and dab the bite area ..... burned like hell but sure seemed to work. Probably wasn't the healthiest thing to do but....hell I drank for the water hose also and I'm still here.

By the time youre looking online for treatments, they should be off of you. They dont bury in you or anything like that.

Its the bite from the juveniles that itches you

this, it kills them quickly, they bury into the skin, and use that path they dug to breathe, you use the nail polish and it suffocates them immediately.

Key words = BEFORE BLISTERS.

Had a rough case of them in high school.

If the blisters last long at all, go to the doctor. Those easily become a staph infection and will be infinitely more painful unless you get treated.

The nail polish is a myth. They don’t burrow into your skin, it is a poison in their bite/saliva secretion that makes it hurt/itch. The best preventive is to shower ASAP from coming out of the woods. If it’s too late over the counter creams, and if your doctor can prescribe a stronger cortisone cream, that is the best solution and then time. You’ll have to ride it out. I feel ya man. Have a had a couple times badly. The worst was last fall in the woods with my boy on a Friday, did not shower on Saturday due to piddling around the house by the time Sunday rolled around it was too late. I was up for damn near 48 hours straight in agony.

Has anyone ever set the showerhead on a jet type setting and blasted the bites with hot water before? Feels like you've died and gone to heaven.
