I've seen those offers taken up by guys who recycle concrete. Those blocks are also useful for property owners who have a creek and are concerned with erosion.

Also good for dropping on the skulls of feral cats.

Evidently you don't realize that broken concrete chunks (a.k.a. "rip rap") is used to line creek beds and lake shores to stem soil erosion:

Someone who has no use for something that others might and doesn't feel like getting rid of it themself.

There are probably a dozen different things you could use that for.

I tore up about 100sq ft of driveway. Posted on CL. Guy came that afternoon and picked it up. Was using it to fight off erosion on part of his property

There are lots of uses for rip rap...here's a nice low-budget garden path:

Great point... except this picture does not show broken up concrete.

That looks like a great solution to be used at my house.

"Rip Rap"...never heard of the term before, I always just called it broken concrete.

You can always fill in the gaps between the rip rap with poured concrete too, if you want:

Of course, it makes good edging/border material as well:

I realize that, but it was more scenic-looking than the other concrete-lined ditches that immediately popped up when I Googled it.
