FRANKLIN PARISH, La. (KNOE) - Authorities with the Franklin Parish Sheriff's Office say a months-long narcotics investigation has led to warrants for 49 people.
According to information released on Monday, a total of 84 arrest warrants were issued for those 49 people as part of "Operation How DARE You".
14 of those charged are on probation or parole.
Sheriff Kevin Cobb says, “This investigation is part of our ongoing effort to disrupt narcotic activity in the parish.”
"As in previous investigations resulting in several arrests, the charges range from distribution of synthetic cannabinoid, to distribution of methamphetamine, crack cocaine, powder cocaine, marijuana and various prescription medication. The charges result in drugs being seized through the operation and removed from our streets.
"Our narcotics investigations are always ongoing. We expect numerous additional arrests will occur throughout the next several months.”
Authorities say many of those people have already been arrested and they expect to arrest more people soon. The sheriff's office says the list of those charged is forthcoming.

That should end the drug trade once and for all.

I'm at the point where I think that we should just legalize all drugs. We aren't stopping people from doing them. All we've done is created massive black markets and organized crime.

Seems like a lot of wasted tax payer money. Let the druggies take care of themselves. Give a year and half of them will be murdered or will OD. Save us the money.

Private prisons need a profit. Somebody has to fill those cells.

Yup. That's the goal of the "war on drugs" fill private prisons with people who are easily demonized by society...

I say we shoot the dealers on site and hang their carcasses on the fence.
