The guy could play a 2 hour set, stay out all night drinking, smoking and having sex and do it again the next night without skipping a beat.

The other rat packers simply couldn't keep up. No one could. He was a machine.

just that boring croon over some count basie orchestra nonsense. if no one is playing the fire out of their instrument and the lyrics are shallow, you should at least be singin the shite out of it a la little richard.

That croon makes panties wet to this very day.

You don’t know what you are talking about

Never heard too much about Dean falling behind.

Not taking anything away from Frank, but I personally always thought Dean had the better set of pipes.

That shite aside, I think there are far more dangerous and disgusting things than smoking in moderation.

What's moderation? Well, it's not taking a break from paid work to smoke, or smoking on an airplane, etc., but if I get a weird craving for a cigarette I'm having one.

If that turns into "smoke breaks" or smoking to the point of lung cancer, I don't have a tobacco problem, I have a problem with addictive behavior.

I’ll never comprehend pack a day smokers or anywhere near that coming as a fairly routine 1-3 smokes on work days type.

Frank Sinatra had that "effortless cool"

Maybe, but Mia Farrow divorced him because, "he didn't have any lead in his pencil".

Bowl of pimp sticks and a 3 channel audio system.
Looks like McIntosh preamp, fisher tuner, a presto or ampex open reel and maybe HH Scott mono power amps and Altec speakers. Not sure about the last 2.

I bet it sounded good back then and probably good by todays standards.
