Fox News political analyst Gianno Caldwell’s teenage brother was murdered in Chicago on Friday, kicking off a bloody weekend that also saw a 5-month-old baby killed — as progressive cities nationwide are gripped by rising crime.

“Yesterday was the worst day of my existence. I received a call informing me that my teenage baby brother was murdered on the south side of Chicago,” Caldwell revealed Saturday on Twitter.

“Never could I have imagined my baby brother’s life would be stolen from him,” he wrote alongside a picture of his smiling sibling in graduation attire.

Christian Caldwell, 18, was shot dead and two others were injured after gunfire broke out in Morgan Park early Friday morning, according to local reports.

Sorry to hear that.

Morgan Park isn't too bad of an area either - it's on the southern end of Chicago's bungalow belt, and there's a lot of beautiful historic homes that were originally developed to house workers in nearby rail car factories, steel mills, etc along the south side of Chicago. A lot of Irish lived there 40-50 years ago and earlier.

There are parts of Morgan Park that were very high end when it was built - and you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference between some Morgan Park neighborhoods and Hinsdale or Oak Park even today. Then there's a lot of middle class blacks on the eastern side that are stable and relatively safe.

But .....it's still on the south side of Chicago, so things spill over very quickly from West Pullman and other really bad areas. And it's very easy to get to that area since it's so close to the Dan Ryan and Bishop Ford expressways.

Anybody keeping count? Is this Murder #280 thus far in Mayor Beetle-Juice's "Banned-Guns" Chicago?

No worries. BJ will make Chicagoans feel safer by ordering a Chicago PD tour de force gangland dragnet; enact powerful, effective law enforcement, conduct "exhaustive investigations", and prosecute the guilty.

OH WAIT.

Well, the south side of Chicago
Is the baddest part of town
