Shitty design on their shelving. People make mistakes, dude barely touched it (even if he shouldn't have and/or wasn't paying attention). I'd sue the shite out of the shelving engineers for sure though.

Forklift didn’t cause anything. Dumbass operator did.

It's a fricking distribution center for gods sake. A bump from a forklift shouldn't cause catastrophic failure. Racks will get bumped, especially considering the pool of workers you're pulling from. Shitty design, shitty install.

Yeah, I was thinking that that was going to be a tough spare, but the video cut out before he got a chance to bowl again.

Oh I don’t disagree at all on your criticism of the design, but it’s still operator error. Kind of like firearms or autos. They don’t do shite unless you make them.

My point being, operator error is always expected in these circumstances. Evidently it wasn't here.

And THAT is why warehouse robotics will soon take place of the operator and operator error. It’s already happening in the bigger warehousing markets.

That forklift driver definitely deserves to be fired...

Because he left an entire row of shelving standing.

Forklift driver was a great employee...but had a tendency to bury himself in his work

The initial suit would fall on the warehouse’s owners. They would in turn likely sue the shelving manufacturer.

Yep. Self-pullling machines are becoming the new norm.

Dang. Hard to laugh when wondering what happened to the guys it all landed on.

It’s safe to laugh now.

It took rescue teams nearly eight hours to dig through the thousands of tons of cheese stored in the warehouse, but they eventually pulled Tomasz Wiszniewski from the mess. They believe he was saved by staying in the forklift during the mayhem
