Zoo will be fine. No problems in that area at all.
Bayou Classic has gone down hill so much that it is almost a non issue. Its just turned into a bigger problem these days with the local homies wanting to cruise up and down Canal.

I'm more worried about traffic and parking. I really dislike new Orleans as it is and sitting in traffic is not really what I want to do on Saturday when there are a crap ton of good football games on.

I celebrated 21 by going to Harrah's the weekend of the BC with a friend and there were cars reversing UP the offramp to get back onto the interstate.
It was a madhouse. I've never gone to the city again since then on this weekend.
