I never understood why so many people are triggered by electric cars.

People aren’t triggered by electric vehicles. It’s that we’ve been told that EVs are a climate cure-all. That we need to just destroy the old evil ICE vehicles and go full speed into EVs, and if you don’t want to do that you hate the earth and are a terrible racist bigot who probably runs over smiling puppies.

BUT WAIT! WHO’S THIS I SEE!?

Battery issues increasing the costs (and let’s be honest, making the batteries is a terrible process for the environment)
The range isn’t there or sufficient for much more than in city travel,
The charge times are long, and that’s if you can find a spot to charge them, and then hope there aren’t people waiting in front of you.

Oh, and where do you think that power comes from?

We just don’t have the tech anywhere near ready to make a effective switch for this country.

Not saying it shouldn’t keep being developed, but it ain’t the future we’ve been sold.

ICEs are popular because they work.

Bucees is great for EV people, you can shop for hours while waiting on your charge.

Only for Teslas at the Leeds, AL one. They have plans for 2 non Tesla chargers but who knows when that'll happen.

Also people will spend more money while waiting around for the vehicle to charge vs. making a quick and less expensive stop or no stop at all. The cost of these things is not beneficial in any way, shape, or form.
