I never understood why so many people are triggered by electric cars.

Guess it makes sense on this board when the majority of local jobs are oil/gas related

249 miles. How much does running the AC reduce the range?

probably 0% because the 249 number is assuming you have a ~300 lb payload in the bed. Something the 90% of truck buyers will never experience.

I dont understand why someone would buy an EV. If you ever travel you have to plan large blocks of time for charging.

Or you could have a gas burner and fill up the tank, grab a bottle of water, peanuts, take a piss and be back on the road in 10 minutes.

Seems like a no brainer to me.

Trucks with a larger battery have a range of up to 320 miles.

I mean sure, if you're a 95 pound woman with no passengers, no cargo, and not towing anything, on slightly overpressurized tires.

except you are wrong and Ford specifically quotes their range figures assuming you are hauling a significant payload.

I just cannot understand the point of this truck. It is inferior to a regular F150 in every conceivable way.

Nuh uh! It'll go 0-60 in the speed of a fart, which is everything you want in a pickemup truck.

at current gas prices, thats roughly 50,000 miles of gas you could buy

Yeah but you're extending the life of the earth from 2038 to 2039 by making that sacrifice

They can state whatever the frick they want, but real world usage and testing is dramatically closer to my comment than their projections.

That's still not as bad to me as having to wait an hour plus to charge your truck and then spending 40 bucks on that electricity.

I hope you don't have a trailer or boat either. Maybe 100 miles with a travel trailer. Wtf is even the point of having a pickup if it can't haul and tow?

Will "almost" make it to Gulf Shores. Guess you'd have to recharge at Buckee's.
You better be going 50 with no other electric items on if you want to make 240 miles

Just a day after Congress extended the $7,500 EV credit. As always subsidies only serve to drive up prices.

"how much is that per month?"

->how everyone who buys this vehicle thinks because they can't actually afford it
