What’s the deal with the multi year Cybertruck delays?
Found out a stainless steel body wasn't the smartest idea but no way to go back for one.
I don't hate EVs but will say out of what is available I'd never buy a Tesla. They are dated appearing appliances with subpar NVH and cheap, boring, interiors.
Have they ever gotten fit and finish to the level of a 1980s Yugo yet?

The government is pushing EVs but consumers don't seem to really want them yet.
No, consumers don't want to buy EVs from Ford, GM, and MB b/c they are almost all massively overpriced and can't use the Supercharger network.

Doesn't take a black belt in Google-Fu to show that Tesla put plenty of hardware and SW on the market before it was fully baked. Their build quality on things like panel fit, squeak & rattle, and other details are still sub-par by industry standards.
Tesla has worked some miracles, and is a very good competitor, but don't put them on a pedestal they don't deserve.
I was going to say the guy you quoted hasn't read the book on Musk.
He's all about being first to market. Fix the problems after you grab share.

As the EV market grows, Tesla will have less and less market share, this will be portrayed as a negative but it's not. The key point there is the EV market growing. Tesla will lose market share but will still benefit as a result of the growth in the market itself.
Guess that is why Tesla has missed production estimates the last two quarters...

Tesla is providing all the needed charging network and doing so rapidly, and it's about to go into hyper build mode due to the new cash flow they have with other EVs coming online to the super charging network.
Want to take a break from sucking Elon's cock and give us some links that back up your claims?
btw-I'm laughing at your interpretation of numbers.
Interpret this; Tesla missed production estimates by over 30k last quarter and is soon to be overtaken as the #1 producer of EVs.

11 year old Tesla Model S cars are still selling for $30-35k, you're just making shite up right now and you've done exactly zero research.
I just looked at Edmunds and not a single 2012 Tesla Model S that came up in the search was over 30K. I did see a 2013 under 20k....
Who's doing your research?
eta-A 2013 Escalade has much better resale than a 2013 Model S...

GM and Ford have a deal with Tesla where they can in fact use the Supercharger network.
And I'd take a Lyriq over a loaded out Model Y every day of the week. No comparison.

Yes, I prefer buttons and knobs for controlling things like the HVAC and such.
This may surprise you, but most people do. There's been huge pushback over the touchscreens for at least a decade and that is why buttons and knobs have returned.
You can go back to sucking Elon off now.
*Fanboiz are such clowns.

One has a reliable and proven BESS system. The other has some junk tech the copied from china. It might have HVAC buttons, but its still a piece of shite just like the other GM EVs.

You keep saying this, for months now, and guess what?
Don't believe you and don't care.
You're as much a Tesla fanboi as Shel.

That deal was only recently struck, GM/Ford vehicles won't be able to use it until 2024, you'll need an adapter, and most people have no idea about that yet.
Once it gets going it will change as people find out but right now all a buyer is going to hear is "you can't charge there and instead have to use the mediocre Electrify America network."

In the end, Tesla's real breadwinner won't be the cars. It'll be the charging network that the legacy automakers are already jumping onboard to license. They set the standard there.

The people who run GM and Ford couldn’t operate a lemonade stand. Damn the bailout for keeping them around.

Tesla is already rolling out superchargers with ccs access. When you go to charge, tesla provides an adapter to use. In fact, Louisiana already has a few near Ruston and monroe iirc.
But the hope is that sometime next year an official adapter for purchase will be made available (there's already a 3rd party taking pre orders) that will hopefully open up all of the superchargers instead of just the ones with magic docks. We'll see though. I anticipate thay tesla mostly wants to keep their system closed and only allow stations that officially have the magic dock to allow non teslas to supercharge, not allow users to use their own adapter.
