If you’re talking about who I think you are, big Recruiting board and money talk guy, he was a great guy IRL. Families knew each other.

You don’t know shite about what people are truly thinking about suicide. Save that guilt shite like it’s a selfish move. Until you’ve been lower than low, you don’t know. You really don’t know how low a psyche can go I bet.

And the suicide line is a waste of time. They’ll tell you to watch a movie or listen to music to distract yourself from those thoughts. Like-been doing that for two years, what else you got? Crickets. They’re a waste of money.

I had three of my closest friends (two were twins) all commit suicide within 2 months last year. I still think of them everyday. Talked with all of them within 3 days of them doing it. I still don’t understand and not sure I ever will.

I can empathize with people who take their own life but it's really hard to understand people who do it in a way that most severely traumatizes their loved ones.

A guy who lived down the street from my grandparents blew his head off with a shotgun in the living room while his wife and kids were out at the store. Thankfully a neighbor heard the blast and discovered him before his family did. My grandfather, a retired cop, spent all night (while family was ushered away) scrubbing blood off the walls and repainting them so the family would at least be spared the visible stains of his act.

I worked at an office where the previous boss before I started there came into work and shot himself in the office unisex bathroom. Again, leaving his friends and co-workers to find and clean up the mess.

No one should ever commit suicide. This means they did not understand their purpose or mission in life. Everyone who is born has a mission in life. Each one of us were created for a purpose. We were given everything we need to handle whatever comes our way.
Turn your eyes to God and thank Him for creating you every day. Your strength will come from Him. He will slowly reveal to you your mission in life. For now do your best in whatever you choose to do. If you experience many failures, remember, failures are allowed so you will be better and wiser for your next decision.
Those who achieved the greatest success had some of the most failures. Thomas Edison failed over 300 times before he created the light bulb. His failures were worth the success. Had he quit after the 1st failure, 10th failure, 100th failure, or 300th failure we may still have oil lanterns.
We have to ask why does God allow failures? He allows us to fail, because He wants us to Trust in Him more strongly. Why does God allow a person to come into our lives, only for them to leave? Every person God has created is a gift from Him to the world. We have no ownership of anyone, and God may allow us to spend a specific amount of time with someone, and then He wants us to let them go. This means He wants us to spend time with other creations of His. This means it is time for our mission to take another direction.
Jesus lived with His parents (mom) for 30 years, then it was time for His mission to take a new direction.
We all have different mission, but the same goal which is to go to heaven. Keep your eyes on the prize of heaven as you live your life. It is worth it.
Do not take your life because the mission God has created to complete will not be completed. Only you can complete your mission, and completing your mission will lead to the greater good for ALL of humanity. You may only think you affect a few people around you. The ripple affect will travel through the entire world.
When God created the universe He knew He was going to create you, and He knew what your mission would be today. He knew you were the person He needed to be right where you are at this specific time in the history of the universe. You are that important.
Do not be afraid of your mission. Trust God, and He will provide guidance.
God Bless All.

My high school hoodlum friends and I used to call random strangers and tell them we were going to kill ourselves. Most people tried to talk us out of it.

Your grandfather is a honorable man-that is the definition of a selfless act.
