I'm flying out of NO to Dallas on Thursday morning and returning Sunday. Paid $106 round trip. Guess you have to time it right.
Not to hijack your thread, but how strict is Southwest with their carry-on bag policy? I have a bag that is 1 inch longer than the allowed carry-on size, and was wondering if they would make me check it? Trying just to bring the carry-on. TIA

Used to do Friday to NOLA and Sunday back to Dallas flights to come down to LSU games. I haven't seen a flight between Dallas & NOLA that cheap since maybe the 90's. Was paying $200+ for those flights since before Katrina.

Flew round trip to Love last month for $82. It depends on when you book and always check for sales. Normally, I'll pay $140-160 round trip between Fla and Texas.

I have never seen them measure anyone's bag before boarding the plane. If it can fit in an overhead bin and they have available space, you can carry it on.

Check in online 24 hours prior and print your boarding pass.
Hope you get an A or a B boarding pass.
