The Victoria and Albert Museum has staged a showing of Faberge eggs and jewelry that includes pieces not often seen anywhere, much less together.
Because it's London, this is their advertising photo which includes an egg from Moscow

And here's one I don't think I've ever seen before

If you admire the eggs in the New Orleans Museum of Art collection or know someone who does, this article is a pleasant read for a Sunday.

The V&A has a really good YouTube channel too. I was watching this one yesterday that talks about the woman who designed the mosaic egg you have pictured. She also designed an incredible crystal and frost egg I had never seen until this video.

Loved those eggs but they went back to their Kentucky home more than ten years ago.

While this exhibit does look interesting, the V&A is a big disappointment overall.

Thank you for the link to the V&A. The anemone
inside the egg - charming. But the pin with the mosaic may be the most beautiful simple thing I've seen, and I got misty seeing the childrens' cameo that went with the mosaic egg.

A rabbit hole to return to again and again.
