There is a big difference between lauding the officers for properly executing a DUI checkpoint and performing well in a high-speed chase and ensuing shoot-out.
Kind of like saying we should be ho-hum if a secret service agent took a bullet for a president. No biggie, all in the job description.

you know what's equally as disturbing as the shooting? The typical Baton Rouge drivers who didn't know to pull out of the way of the police car approaching them at a high rate of speed.

One of the officers shot is a good friend of mine.. it's amazing how after this his attitude is still positive. He's a good man, and after watching these videos I'm glad he's still on the force protecting our community. .
