Madeira “Mad” Beach is tame compared to years past.
Still no surprise someone brought a swordfish to a fist fight.
The fishermen are a colorful bunch. I lived next to a few off 133rd Ave for many years.
Koncrete produced a documentary about a few of the infamous locals.

Hi neighbor. Mad Beach is still the best spot on the whole Pinellas peninsula. Although things have changed in years past, I agree you see some wild stuff happens down near Dons Docks or over on the Gators side fishing late at night.
Risk it all for that 40” snook.
Plus we are one of the few spots that can take beers to the beach. Love me some Snack Shack.
I love that our old mayor runs the petting zoo/gator park at JP. He’s a helluva guy and helped my buddies get their rental service together.

I'd like to know what the original argument was about. To escalate from bottle to the head to long and pointy to the gut it had to be something a little better than the cup size of the cocktail waitress.
