FitTea Detox from GNC?

Just got an email from GNC about this new product--they've got a 14 day and a 28 day system/bag. Says it promotes fat burning and weight loss, but also improves your immune system and will "clean and smoothe your digestive system."

Now, I know there are folks who think all detoxes are bullshite, some even adamantly so(did Jersey Tiger once go off on these?).

So, my question is 2-fold:

1) anybody know anything about this particular FitTea detox?

2) what are your thoughts on these things in general.

It's so new there are no reviews yet. At least on GMC's website.

Lol. Fair enough. Where do the OT fitness baws do their online supplement shopping?

Also, it doesn't tell you what's in it unless you download the label with Adobe Acrobat, which I don't have on my phone.

It does seem to at least have Garcinia Cambogia, which I know was all the rage about a year or so ago. Have those benefits been debunked or is it a legit fat burner? In my early twenties, I used to pop a few Ripped Fuels(with ephedra), some aspirin, wash it down with a cup of coffee, and go workout or run a few miles. But I'm closer to 40 now and am not trying to die.

That's the shite the kardashian's promote. I saw some buzzfeed thing on it the other day. Lemme find it.

I tried Kardashian's Fit Tea Article

Here's an excerpt for ppl not wanting to click the link

quote:

Without getting into the gory details (this is a family website) I went EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. And this is only from drinking a cup of tea a day for two weeks! I am proud of my bowel movements to begin with, but I felt like my stomach was working harder than whoever contours the Kardashians. This leads me to ask: Do the Kardashians poop a lot? Is that the secret to their success? I have questions!

You can get most Supps on Amazon for good pricing.

Although I've been using Jym Supps lately and they are only on bodybuilding.com

As for the detox, who knows. I do know Garcinia(sp) works to an extent. I tried it a few years back while cutting and it gave me tons of energy and definitely suppressed my appetite.

take some magnesium and citric acid before bed 3 - 7 nights.

you'll lose a buncha weight and your insides will be clean af.

Of course it works.

You just think you are fat. You really have up to 40 pounds of rotting sludge in your belly!

Now that, I know is bullshite. Though I did find out the hard-way and got suckered in to trying one that claimed that about 15 years ago. I don't think my roommate back then has ever forgiven me.

But there are legit detoxes, no? Doesn't milk thistle help your liver function, can't 5 HTTP help boost your serotonin levels, etc...?

I'm not trying to get shredded or anything, just to get generally more healthy.

Those things you mentioned in the op are shite. If you want to 'detox' drink water mixed with things like apple cider vinegar, lemon, turmeric, and ginger. Those are some of the healthiest natural things you can add to your diet.

'Detoxes' for dieting are bullshite. Drink water and your body will detox daily. That's what your liver and kidneys are there for.

Balanced diet, physical exertion, done. These detox supplements do absolutely nothing.

What does "smooth your digestive system" mean? It means nothing, absolutely nothing. That produst is total and complete bullshite, quackery.

Take in fewer calories for 14 or 28 days and you too can "promote fat burning."

The only thing that detoxes you is your liver and kidneys. Giving yourself the shits is not "detox" otherwise Taco Bell and Popeyes would jump into that market.

Here is a protip: 98% of stuff sold and GNC in totally useless. It is a totally unregulated market so they can say and claim whatever they want. Also anything diet related that is marketed towards women is also useless.
