Yeah that's horse shite, I'm 5'9 173 and run triathlons and it tells me I'm obese, BMi is a joke

When I'm at 190 (I'm between 5'11" and 6) I'm at 34, and some brands are loose.

I'm similar at 5' 10" 180, and run an occasional tri. BMI says I'm overweight. Maybe I could lose 5 - 6 lbs., but anything more and I'd be scrawny.

BMI is just a first screening for obesity. Then you look at body composition. If you have excess fat, take action. If you're above the weight cutoff because of extra muscle, no worries.

I would need hiv/AIDS in order to get below what BMI suggests for me weight wise.

It's an option worth considering for some.
