C's might get degrees, but the only big money, right out of school, goes to the 4.0 guys.

You'd better be presentable as well.

This is pretty much the type of firm I started out with and the starting pay. I think that’s still about what we’re doing but not certain.

Its about more than just base salary. Firms vary widely regarding things like bonus structure, health insurance, etc. My first year at a mid-size firm I was making about $85K, but with full health insurance, life insurance, 401K, etc. It was about a $120K value at the time. Broke 100K at around year 3 billing about 2200 hrs.
