Why are you running your polaris all night? I never ran mine more than a couple of hours a day.
I dont run it everyday bc it constantly gets caught up, so every now and then I will let it run all night..maybe like once a week.

There should be a valve attached to the hose near the Polaris that kicks in every once in a while and pulls the Polaris backwards. Sounds like yours isn't functioning correctly.
Works in theory. On mine, however, the fricking thing always reverted to getting stuck in corners, steps, etc. Also, the Polaris would move in such a way as to miss most of the leaves in my pool. I finally switched to the old manual cleaner--not only did it not get stuck, but it also cleaned in 10 minutes what my Polaris couldn't clean in a week.
I think the Polaris machine is one of the biggest ripoff gadgets ever. Factor in the cost of replacing ball bearings, chains, etc. and it makes you want to kick the manufacturer in the balls.

I have a timer, but I keep it off because when it runs it's constantly getting stuck. I turned it on yesterday afternoon bc I was back there cleaning up and grilling. I ended up just leaving it on all night bcause. Woke up this morning and everything was soaked because the little tail sprayed out of the water all night
