This doesn't quite match the Michael Jackson/Ed McMahon/Farrah Fawcett run in June of 2009, but it is getting close.

That sounds like a tv show theme from the 80s.

“Feels So Good” and Gerry Rafferty’s “Baker Street” went back and forth at the top of the Billboard charts for weeks back in ‘78. It’s like the two songs became identified with each other. And this was when the Brothers Gibb (all 4 of them) were dominating the charts.

One of the GOAT lead guitar solos near the end, as well.

Everything those baws touched turned to gold. It was a glorious run and a great time for music. I was only 7 in 1978, but I still remember and love a lot of music from that year. It was an awesome mix of disco, soft rock, hard rock, and whatever category Baker Street and Feels So Good fit into.

I wouldn't want to be an elderly celeb right now.

I was 12, and Casey Kasem’s AT40 every Sunday was must-listen radio. If you were fortunate enough to have a tape recorder, you taped it.

As long as you didn't take a tape recorder to record a Doobie Brothers concert, you were OK. Rerun learned this lesson the hard way...

FYI, if you’re interested, there’s a station on IHeartRadio dedicated specifically to playing old Casey Kasem AT40 shows from the 70s & 80s. Just a PSA.

That is actually cool to know. SiriusXM 70's channel does one every weekend and one on Thursday nights also. Definitely going to find the one you mentioned

I am trying really hard to get Dick Van Dyke, Mel Brooks, and Coach Marv Levy to 100...all are currently 99. I don't want the 99 curse to get them like it did Lou Carnesecca, John Wooden, Betty White and Bob Barker.

Listened to it, and then learned to play it. Gonna miss that horn play. He had some good chops.

EDIT. Glad Chuck was my 11,000th post.
