I assume he knows you don’t have a Facebook account, so you already know what he said isn’t a personal attack on you.

He’s in his 60’s, therefore it’s impossible you can say anything that will change what annoys you about his personality. There is no point in nitpicking what you see as his deficits. Maybe he posted that because he’s hurting, which is the same reason you made this post...right?

Y’all aren’t getting any younger. Work on a true attitude of acceptance and forgiveness, then reach out to him.

Edit: Sorry Kosmo, I meant to reply to OP.

We don’t have time for any of this shite. Have you seen who the new offensive coordinator is going to be?

I would call him or send him an email and ask him to kindly keep your father out of any social media posts pertaining to politics.

Block him from family FB Pages and move on. Saying something will not yield a happy ending. Stay away from him as you can.

I find way too many people sharing their political tirades on FB, and way too many people caring what they think. I just unfollow if it gets too much to handle. It doesn’t appear on my feed, and my life is better for it. Problem solved.

Quit reading stupid shite on Facebook. Tell your wife and kids to stop showing you his posts. Better yet, tell them to stop reading it. Problem solved.

So your brother is just like half the td political board posters: so angry they justify being mean to others, while jaded and sentimental about the good old days.

M'keh.

Not a psycho. But then most psychos are probably in denial about it, so perhaps...

Thanks to all who took the time to reply, both sincere and smart-arse. It helps getting different perspectives, which is what I was seeking.

Either block him on Facebook or get off of social media.

Why are people so fricking addicted to social media? It's not necessary for you life.

Really the only answer is to join the never ending political bickering on facebook. Then you can start doing the same on Twitter. Seems like there is an infinite amount of room for political arguments. . . And they all seem really productive.

Family members disagree on all kinds of crap. Apparently, he thinks your dad would be disappointed with the way the country is headed and posted such. He can think however he chooses to think. You, however, don't have to let it bother you. Hit the off switch and keep moving. Control what you can control and don't sweat the rest. This is clearly something you can't control and honestly I have no idea why you would want to.

My sister was very vocal on FB regarding her political views. One day, I had enough and called her out privately. It was heated. I told her she was embarrassing her family, even if she is right. No one wants to see that. Get Twitter if you want to post opinions. She cussed me, but stopped posted that shite non stop.
