I think it’s just that the associated costs increase once you stop growing. Things like overbites have non surgical corrective treatments when you’re still growing and developing. Once you stop growing though surgery tends to be your only option.

Idk in this day and age but our orthodontist told me that at that particular point in time, our son could wait but he would eventually end up with dental issues (no permanent teeth under baby teeth was an issue) .. I told him at the point it would be a stretch for us.

He said no problem at all .. he was honest and said it could wait. When we were in a better position, we went through with it.

I love people who want to help and not rob you.

Putting braces on 2 kids and it’s 4k for both.

We dodged a bullet with neither kid needing braces.
