I'm just sick for him over this even though it's his fault.

Well, he's in luck. Chances are the kid isn't his.

Even if it was your place, what could you accomplish by saying something? What is there to be done? I think all you could do is let him know that he's in a bad spot, and he should already know that. Maybe all you can do if you feel responsible enough is help the child itself not be in too bad of a spot, and there's really only so much you can do with even that.

You may know it isn't a good situation, but the parents are ones who did the deed. Their problem.

FWIW this is still a better situation than most babies in the world are born into.

well if this only affected the baby and parents, then i would agree. but it doesn't, and it doesn't

they'll likely require public assistance

they'll likely raise the child in a failed trash culture and create a trashy offspring

i'm at the point where i'm starting to believe that "holding our tongue" is one reason all this bullshite is so entrenched

Yeah say nothing.

A chick I know that used to work on my floor as a nursing assistant is now pregnant. She already has 2 kids(one with severe learning disabilities). She recently got divorced and is that person that broadcasts how miserable she is on fb. Going back and forth in posting pics of her out drunk with friends and then moaning about how hard it is to be a single mom.

Like a downward spiral playing out on fb. Last month I noticed she posted she was in a relationship and bragging about her management position at a convenience store. Last week she posted she is pregnant. This week she is bitching about others commenting on her pregnancy.

It doesn't seem like her decision making skills are going to change whether you say something or not...

can't we ask the same of the trash?

esp if we tie in "being god" to creation (the kid)?

I didn't ask to get tagged in numerous congratulatory FB posts for the last several days.

Well you have FB...that's your first problem.

My statement came from the fact you feel almighty enough to judge someone's situation. Look at the white trash home Bill Clinton was born into and how his life played out. Say a prayer for the family and have a little hope man. This world has gotten so quick to judge something that doesn't seem to fall into their own agenda.
