Female CNY probation officer pleads guilty of misconduct after sex with probationer

An Onondaga County probation officer admitted official misconduct today for a sexual relationship with one of the men she supervised on probation.

Bridgett Duerr, 44, of Cicero, will resign her post after pleading guilty to the misdemeanor, Senior Assistant District Attorney Jeremy Cali said. She will not be further punished if she stays out of trouble for a year.

In jail this spring, he met with Deurr about five times, he said.

That's when he recalled their conversations "started to get sexual" and they began talking about relationships, he said.

The man said she called him sexy and told him she would work very hard to get him out of jail. She wrote a letter on his behalf that he credited with helping get him released to house arrest in June, he said.

Within 24 hours of his release, they had sex for the first time at his house, he said.

They had sex three to four times over the next several months and she loaned him $100 for his internet bill, he said.
