Our HS FCA still provides Thanksgiving baskets to needy people 40+ years later. Also work Special Olympics.

We worked at the food bank every month and St Vincent’s during the holidays. We also visited nursing homes monthly and had quarterly work Saturdays cleaning local cemeteries. It was a good, meaningful organization that we took pride in.
Young Life came around when I was in high school and was pretty active as well although a bit more Joel Osteenish. More feel good than do good.

They didn't have one at my school at that time. It would have been more bullshittery everybody was expected to join while still drinking underage beer every weekend
