He also did fire safety work, I remember when he had to leave the house for some issue at the plant. I'm pretty sure he got a bump in pay for that service.

Thats what im doing. Covering fir guys with kids who wanted the day off. Doing the same thing on Christmas.

30 something years in a Crude Coking Unit!!! Plus years in Army...Shift work is all I know...Today and All Holidays are just another day...Can't wait to RETIRE next year!!!...P.S. If your going to work in any plant, work in a unit where product comes in a pipe and exits in another pipe!!! STAY AWAY FROM BATCH UNITS!!! Geaux Tigers ??...

exempt from ot guy here, but I liked to cover the Christmas and new years holidays. It was a great quite catchup time and all the assholes were gone.
