It’s the opposite.

Lower Fed Funds Rates means that there will eventually be lower rates for all lending. This compresses the “spread” between banks’ cost of borrowing and what they can earn in interest when they lend.

It’s also not great for retirees who’s 401k’s are heavily invested in fixed income.

Good for borrowers though.
