I’m not a fan of big government and tend to want states and counties to handle their own business but the violence Chicago has gone on for too long and swept under the rug. The third largest American city is becoming a war zone and only swift, strict punishment against these thugs will improve life for the good people in that city that just want to live their lives.

I am big on states' rights too but good people in the ghetto have the right to not live in fear or die just like anyone else.

Unfortunately that’s part of it. A lot of Soros-backed Cook County judges are the same way.

Federal crime, federal time. The Feds disagree with you and think that violations of federal statutes are their business.
