After my last flight with my elderly father and his titanium knee being harassed by these people after he told them ahead of time, I’m done flying for a while. Next trip to the east coast will be in my vehicle. I don’t mind driving, but I do mind my dad being treated so disrespectully. I don’t care about those people. Not one single bit, and I certainly don’t “need” to fly, nor do I have any desire to be treated like livestock, because I’m not. When you count layover and changing flights, there’s only a 3 or 4 hour difference, and I enjoy the scenery, and don’t need to rent a vehicle when I’m there. Just get cranking real early with coffee. No big deal.

Comparing your work in prison searching trial convicted prisoners to TSA workers harassing Americans attempting to travel within their country?

This is the kind of strict construction of a statute that many people say they want judges to do. No "legislating from the bench" to stretch the law because of sympathetic facts. Congress wrote the law, and that's it.

So let's not hear any whining from those folks when they get exactly what they asked for.
