The placard on that bateau might say "8 persons" but I'm pretty certain the weight rating didn't count on persons of that size.
I would mention that there's not a PFD in sight, but I'm also pretty sure that you couldn't sink a single one of those passengers with a Mk48 torpedo.

Thats why it says 8 persons OR 1,200 pounds. That boat got past that with 2 people and the dog.
